Google has to subsidize internet phone

The internet phone market is dominated by Apple which has been able to weather the negative growth in the computer and laptop sales , with a sharp increase in iPhone sales. Apple was able to push down Nokia, the largest mobile phone seller in the world, out of the US market through aggressive sales of internet phones.
Now, Google wants to grab a pie of this lucrative market, and is planning to launch it's own internet phone in the coming months. But reports say that it may launch the phone without any subsidy, which means the phones could be very costly at nearly 1000 dollars a piece.
Google might be able to really cut into the Apple market share, only it if is able to subsidize the cost of the phones like Apple. Let us see what Google does at the time of launch.
