The team maintains SurePress technology, which until now was to mount the capacitive touch screen in a form that yields to pressure, to convey the same feeling as when you press buttons really. The novelty is that now the screen does not "sink" to the press, but employ a piezoelectric system to make more comfortable and fluid multi-touch gestures, such as selecting text by clicking at two different points of the screen.

Little has been touched in their actions, as they maintain the same terminal size (112.5 x 62 x 13.9 mm) and screen (3.25 inches with 480 x 360 pixel resolution), though the weight has increased slightly to 160 grams. Logically, the connection still present HSDPA data plan and the integrated GPS, while Bluetooth has been updated to version 2.1.

Equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and image stabilization, the BlackBerry Storm 2 has a headphone output 3.5 mm and a media player compatible with MP3, AAC, WMA, MPEG4 (H.263 and H .264) and WMV. Its 1400 mAh battery promises a range of 6 hours talk time or 12 days standby.
